Friday, May 23, 6pm

Red Clover Collective, 603 E. 30th st. Baltimore MD 21218 (just down the street from Sudsville)!

Update: We've reached our cap on RSVP's, so if you know anyone who has expressed an interest, we're starting a wait list. We'll be sending out a reconfirmation two days prior to the workshop. We do this as a reminder, because, inevitably, peoples plans change.  The slots left by those who don't reconfirm are filled by the wait list folk.  For further info.: 443-286-6695

Red Clover member, Toma Solano, will be teaching a fundamental carpentry skills workshop for women on December 19th @ 11am - 3pm. We'll be building window boxes (fer yur plants!).

If you've ever wanted to work with wood, but were intimidated or simply didn't have access to the knowledge and/or tools to do so, this is the workshop for you.   If you're afraid of power tools, there is no need. You will be briefed on simple, standardized precautions to keep yourself and those around you safe.

Tools, safety equipment, and materials will be provided. We'd like to suggest a $5 donation to cover materials. A potluck lunch will be served at noon. So please bring a side to share. Toma will make something tasty and vegetarian.

Though it makes us squirm a bit, we need to ask everyone to sign a waiver. We'd just like to preserve our ability to share such experiences with the community in the future.

Toma is a carpentry instructor at the Chesapeake Center for Youth Development and has 10 years of carpentry experience.

For additional information please call 443-286-6695.

This weekend the permibus is making a stop at the Red Clover Collective! They will be offering a Street Health and Safety Training from 11AM to 3PM on Saturday, October 24.

Join us to learn how to keep yourselves and your friends safe in protest situations. The training includes how to be the best dressed activist, basic first aid with herbs and a wilderness perspective, how to get help in protest situations, how to stay safe when the police riot, and how to treat police weapons including tear gas, pepper spray, and tasers.

The trainer, Delyla Wilson, has been teaching Community Street Medic courses since 2000 and extensive experience working in riot situations, most recently in Pittsburgh. She has been trained as a Wilderness First Responder, EMT, and Red Cross instructor.  Currently Della is traveling the country in the Earth Activist Training Permaculture Demonstration Bus (Permibus) teaching a variety of sustainability skills. To learn more visit www.permibus.org.

The cost of the course is $10-$25 with No One Turned Away For Lack of Funds.
