Thursday Aug 20, 8PM @ Red Emma’s

The Red Clover Collective will be cohosting a screening of “Visions of Utopia: Experiments in Sustainable Culture” with Red Emma’s as part of their Summer Screening Series.

This film is a two-part documentary about intentional communities and the people who coexist within them. The films chronicle seventeen diverse intentional communities and explores why people would decide to live in a shared-style, what works and what doesn’t when making this commitment, and why communities come together to stay together.

We’ll watch segments of the films and facilitate the discussion afterwards and talk a bit about our own story.

For more about the film, visit: http://fic.ic.org/video/

Join some folks from Red Clover (and Red Emmas!) at 2640 for the screening of the film FRESH Thursday, August 6th at 8:00PM at 2640 St. Paul Street. $5 – $10 sliding scale.

About the film FRESH: New thinking about what we’re eating.

FRESH celebrates the farmers, thinkers and business people across America who are re-inventing our food system. Forging healthier, sustainable alternatives, they offer a practical vision of our food and our planet’s future. FRESH addresses an ethos that has been sweeping the nation and is a call to action America has been waiting for. There will be a discussion after the film with Participation Park.

All of the kittens have been adopted. Thanks, everyone!

We’ve taken in a litter of six kittens from the alley by our house. They’re six weeks old and are eating softened kitten food and formula. They got their first litter box yesterday and are using it. There are two orange tabbies, two black tabbies, one beige and one gray. All are male except the two black tabbies.

So if you’re looking for a kitten (or four), please get in touch with us! We can’t keep any due to allergies, so any who do not get adopted will be spayed/neutered once old enough and returned to the outdoors. They’re all healthy and terribly cute.
